A stress thought tracker for when the event is over but the thoughts aren't

You know exactly what caused it. You don't know why it's still there at 9pm. Mendly tracks the stress thoughts that persist after a known stressor has passed — the meeting that ended, the call that's over, the decision already made. One tap when they resurface. Hourly patterns show the gap between the event and when your mind finally releases it.

The research

The Perseverative Cognition Hypothesis found that continuing to think about a stressor after it ends keeps the body's stress response physiologically active — the mind doesn't know the meeting is over just because the calendar says so. Mendly's tap-to-log tracks exactly how long that gap runs for you.

Quiz

What's your stress-thought pattern?

Question 1 of 4

How long after a stressful event does your mind actually let go?

Your body isn't overreacting to a resolved meeting. It's still responding to a meeting your mind hasn't actually closed — and the two are more separable than they feel.

Features

Milestone badges

16 badges that celebrate your awareness, not your perfection. First Catch, Streaks, Early Bird, Voice Found — each one earned.

Shareable cards

Daily summary cards designed for Stories. Share a win without oversharing.

Not quite your pattern? A job interview overthinking tracker for the replay that starts before you're even hired might fit better

Apps like MindLift ask you to reframe the stressful thought. When the stressor is resolved and the thoughts are persisting anyway, reframing the resolved event isn't the gap — seeing how long your mind holds it is. Mendly tracks the duration, not the content.

Common questions

What if the stressor isn't fully resolved — can I still log the persisting thoughts?
Yes. Mendly doesn't require the stressor to be over to be useful. Log whenever the thoughts are active, regardless of whether the underlying situation is resolved. The pattern data accumulates across both partial and complete events.
How is this different from a general anxiety tracker?
A general anxiety tracker logs that anxiety occurred. Mendly's hourly pattern data lets you see the time lag between a specific stressor and when the associated thoughts finally subside — a more specific picture than anxiety frequency alone.
Is this a CBT app?
No. Mendly doesn't guide you through restructuring stress-related thoughts. It tracks when they occur and shows you the pattern over time. What you do with that data is up to you.
